The Rev. Teresa Ryan Seagle was raised in the Roman Catholic Church but became an Episcopalian as a young adult. Attending both the University of Florida and the University of North Florida, Mother Teresa earned her BA in Education and Master of Education degree. Once joining the Episcopal church she served in various leadership positions, was active in renewal ministry, and various Christian formation roles. Soon, she could no longer say no to God and the call to ordained ministry. Completing the discernment process in the Diocese of Florida, she then went to the holy mountain to attend seminary at Sewanee. She was ordained in the Diocese of Florida where she has served all of her ordained ministry.

Mother Teresa, or as the students like to say Mama T, is the Dean of Spiritual Life & Service at the Episcopal School of Jacksonville. Prior to school chaplaincy where she combines her vocations as a priest and educator, Teresa served as rector of churches in Tallahassee and Jacksonville. She remains active in the Diocese of Florida serving whenever called upon. She has served on the councils of the church including the Board of Examining Chaplains, the Disciplinary Board, and the General Convention deputation. She currently serves on the Standing Committee and Board of Regents. Teresa and her husband, Keith, enjoy a busy household with 2 children still at home.
